Asylum was kind of a continuation of Aquadon, with Dave and I at the core.  We picked up Kirk Vila on drums and started writing original songs.  At the time, Kirk was very green, but had just tons of natural talent.  We tried a few singers, including ourselves, but eventually asked Britt to join us again.  We were a pretty tight band with a terrific stage show, given our ages.
