Got this little note from Jeff the other day.  Seems SOME people just don't appreciate the Complicated things in life.

Put some different speakers on my home stereo today.  To get the old speakers out, I didn’t bother turning off the stereo, just pushed the red button and pulled the wire through, pushed the black button and pulled the wire through.  On the new speakers, I hooked up the black wire first – didn’t seem to matter which went first, but you do need to keep black and red paired.  There are some simple rules.

Guess what they did?  They just worked – right then and there.

No IRQs.  No re-booting.  No letting the “stereo” find the new speakers.  And I did not have to tell the CD Player, the TV and the VCR that new speakers were attached to the stereo.  They all knew!

Just thought you needed to remember.  There was life before computers, and it did work.

Birthday Boy!  I'm 35 now.  Still don't feel a day over 34... Snowed like crazy today.

Ryen & her class went to Georgetown on an overnight field trip.  Doreen was one of the chaperones.
